Spring is in the air... and so is “kitten season”!
Kitten season is here, and we’re ready! Through the early fall,
Hearthside volunteers will be busy caring for homeless kittens and
their mothers. Although we and other organizations continuously
educate the public about the importance of spaying and neutering,
the problem continues…many unwanted kittens are born every year
in our area, many of which become homeless.
But our efforts are working! In 2007, Hearthside accepted 100 cats, 56 of
which were kittens. Every one of those young ones received complete medical care,
lots of TLC, and eventually was placed in a permanent home! We have you to thank for
making that possible.
If you can, please consider helping us this year by making a donation to the 2008
Kitten Appeal.
